- Self-configured AI services now accept a service root or a documented models/chat-completions endpoint and normalize it before checking the connection.
- Connection checks now explain whether the address, model catalog, key, network, or service availability needs attention; an unsuccessful check keeps the saved connection unchanged.
- Developer-mode subscription connections now use the official ChatGPT path only. Retired third-party subscription paths are no longer offered.
- The Palim AI trial surface now uses consistent spacing, controls, and clearer copy so authors can understand the one-time free trial before starting it.
- Local projects remain available for opening, editing, saving, search, and export when an AI service is unavailable.

Known limitation: Palim AI public checkout remains closed in this beta. The free trial and any account-granted access continue to follow the current availability and usage limits.
